Bellin Run 2012 Fundraising Recap

The Bellin Run this year partnered with five charitable organizations and programs in an effort to raise funds for those groups.

The partnership with the Bellin Run continues to receive funds and to date, has resulted in the generation of $19,096 in donated funds for the following causes:

Thrive – to be the best you Program: $582
Thrive mentors a culture of wellness in schools with the goal of improving student achievement by positively impacting the health and wellness of kids.

N.E.W. Community Clinic: $697
N.E.W. Community Clinic is a non-profit medical facility that provides quality health care to the low income, uninsured individuals in our community. There are three clinic sites in the Green Bay area – two sites in downtown Green Bay, one site on the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College campus.

Bellin College: $3,145
For more than 100 years, Bellin College has been dedicated to training and educating health care professionals to handle the real-life challenges and rigors of the health care profession. The college offers the following degrees: Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Sciences; Master of Science in Nursing.

The Cancer TEAM at Bellin Health: $9,806
The Cancer TEAM’s vision is to create opportunities for patients and their families to heal minds, bodies and souls. In addition to state-of-the-art cancer-fighting technology, the facility offers yoga, cooking classes, massage therapy, support groups, educational programs, art therapy and more, in its treatment of patients.

Bellin Expressive Arts in Medicine (BEAM) Program: $4,866
The BEAM program integrates expressive arts programming into the health care setting as a way of supporting positive interpersonal connections between patients and their caregivers to promote a more comprehensive healing experience.

“We are still expecting funds to come in from several sources, so these totals are not final,” said Nan Bush, director at The Bellin Health Foundation. “The fundraising campaign will close in mid-July.”
