Weather Watch: All Events Are on As Scheduled

June 11, 2015

The Bellin Run operations team is keeping a close eye on the weather, in coordination with public safety officials. The safety and wellbeing of our participants, volunteers and spectators is the Bellin Run’s top priority.

Lightning, high winds, hail or other dangerous conditions can result in adjustments for Friday’s and Saturday’s events.

After heavy rains possible Thursday evening into Friday, the forecast calls for rain ending well before the Health & Wellness Expo kicks off at 3 p.m. We should have sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-60s for the Expo and Friday participant events.

Saturday morning looks great for running, with temperatures around 60 degrees under partly sunny skies when the race kicks off at 8 a.m.
Should there be an event change due to weather, we have contingency plans in place. To communicate these changes, we will utilize:

• STAR 98
• Emails
• Twitter (@BellinRun)
• Facebook (Bellin Run)
• Website (bellinrun.com)
• On-site PA System
• WLUK Fox-11

In addition, please pay attention to the Emergency Alert System posted at the Start Line and at every First Aid Station. Stay alert and adhere to instructions from course officials.
