Bellin Run Pointers Offered
June 9, 2011
Two free events at Astor Park in Green Bay will give Bellin Run participants extra tips on how to get the most out of their race day experience. Both events will be held as part of the Friday Night Health & Fitness Expo at Astor Park.
A “Race Day Dynamic Warm Up” will teach participants techniques for staying warmed up as they line up for race day.
Running specialist Nate Vandervest will lead the 5:30 p.m. “Race Day Dynamic Warm Up” session. It will be held on the Astor Park tennis court.
Vandervest will lead a second session, “Race Day Preparation,” to be held on the Main Stage. That session will highlight what runners and walkers can expect to experience on race day.
“Race Day Preparation” will take place at 6 p.m. Participants will learn:
• What to expect on race day
• How to prepare the night before – what to eat, wear, etc.
• When to arrive for the race
• How to find the proper corrals
• What to expect at the start of the race
• The race course overview
• What happens post-race
Both sessions are free and open to the public. Click here for more information about Bellin Run events.
