Holiday shoppers can gift registration for 41st annual 10K run/walk
Holiday shoppers can give the gift of wellness this season by wrapping up a paid registration for the 2017 Bellin Run.
Online registration for Green Bay’s signature 10K run/walk is now open, and there’s no better way to prepare for an active 2017 than by committing early to this iconic community event. The 41st annual Bellin Run will take place at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017.
“Many of us eat too much and move too little during the holiday season, but signing up for the Bellin Run is a great way to start the New Year off right,” said executive race director Randy Van Straten. “Whether you’re a Bellin Run veteran or a brand-new runner or walker, committing early to our event will help you stay active throughout winter and into spring. While you’re at it, consider gifting a registration to a friend or family member. It’s a terrific way to support their health and wellbeing.”
All 2017 registrants will receive an official Bellin Run technical T-shirt, which is a change from most past years when participants had to pay more to upgrade from a cotton to a technical T-shirt. Race organizers did away with the upgrade fee to celebrate the Bellin Run’s 40th anniversary in 2016, and decided to keep the free tech shirt upgrade for the 2017 event.
“We received such positive feedback about the technical shirts that we decided to again offer a free upgrade for the 41st annual Bellin Run,” said assistant race director Linda Maxwell. “The moisture-wicking fabric allows our participants to comfortably wear their race shirt to participate in our event, which is an option they love.”
The 41st annual Bellin Run will take place at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 10. The 6.2-mile run/walk through Green Bay and Allouez traditionally occurs on the second Saturday in June. It is one of the largest 10K events in the country.
Early registration is $25, and signing up is easy. Visit the Bellin Run website at www.bellinrun.com and click “Register online.” Click the “Buy Registration as a Gift” tab and follow the instruction to purchase a registration for family and friends.
The 40th annual Bellin Run recorded 16,944 registrants. Additional information is available at www.bellinrun.com.
