Hit the Road with Bellin Running Experts
August 2, 2011
A Bellin Health-sponsored running group is working to keep “feet on the street” following the success of this year’s Bellin Run.
The group, the Bellin Running Crew, holds free training run sessions at 6 p.m. every Wednesday at the XL Athletic Performance Center, 1630 Commanche Ave., Green Bay. The group also holds training sessions each third Saturday of the month, meeting at either Green Isle Park in Allouez or at the Daily Buzz, 130 E. Walnut St., in downtown Green Bay.
The free training sessions are designed to cover all skill levels, beginner through veteran runners.
The training routes include a short run and a long run.
“These free training sessions are a way for people to maintain the momentum they generated during preparations for this summer’s Bellin Run,” said session trainer, Nate Vandervest. “They can continue to maintain their training and do so with a group of fellow runners all striving to meet individual fitness goals.
“It’s a continuation of the Bellin Run’s goal of putting more feet on the street and getting people to maintain a healthier lifestyle,” Vandervest said.
