Why I walk the Bellin Run: Jacqueline Habza, Neenah
May 23, 2011
Three years ago I had to have a stress test and was only able to walk for 3 minutes before tiring.
After talking to my doctor about the test results, I was told that I needed to recondition my heart. A heart is, after all, a muscle and mine was out of condition.
I started walking at work and this year I decided to challenge myself to walk the Bellin Run. I know I can walk 1 mile, I just have to do that six times.
The challenge is for me to continue to condition my “muscles.” I’m taking the Bellin Health XL conditioning class and I’m realizing that I have a lot of additional muscles to recondition besides my heart.
I am looking forward to finishing the walk.
